SWITT ART | LOVE COLOUR
Self-taught artist Sarah Witt is best known for her fearless approach to colour and the creation of abstract paintings inspired by her own experiences with anxiety and emotions.
Born in Surrey in 1993, Switt Art now lives and works in London, creating whenever and wherever possible. Specialising in acrylic, palette knife and mixed media, Switt Art loves creating bold crazy textures bringing unique colour combinations together. The outcomes of her art are often a result of a pre-conceived concept combined with an element of spontaneity. Open to commissions, she has subsequently explored a variety of styles, but her main love is the creation of contemporary abstract paintings which are high energy and high impact.
Having discarded her paintings at University due to their sheer size, they were (unbeknown to her) later displayed on the brick walls of a housing estate in Leamington Spa – her very first accidental exhibition! Switt Art has since featured in the World of Interiors magazine and collaborated with a number of artists as part of the ‘Tankers and Pumpers’ exhibition at gallery@oxo to help raise money for the Australian Fire Services in January 2020 and part of an Abstract Art exhibition at the Brick Lane Gallery in September 2021. Switt Art is looking forward to featuring at the 10th Anniversary of Roy’s Art Fair at Bargehouse in September 2024.
